Northwest Arkansas is home to more than 250 miles of biking trails, making it one of the top destinations in the world for cyclists. The Green House® Cottages of Northwest Arkansas is thrilled to be located along a beautiful bike trail that wraps around our cottages and beyond. This trail provides a wonderful space for elders to stay active or simply enjoy the outdoors.
For our elders who are not physically able to ride bikes, we have a wonderful amenity sponsored by State Farm and Cycling Without Age. These “cargo bikes” allow elders to continue to enjoy riding a bike regardless of physical ability. A staff will drive the bike as the elder rides in the attached seat.
The bikes are electric powered and outfitted with a safe and comfortable seat attached to the front of the bike for elders to ride along. The seats are equipped with seatbelts and a sunshade to provide the most enjoyable ride.
We are so grateful for these bikes and the opportunity to give our elders a fun activity. Our elders and staff enjoy getting out on sunny days to ride along the bike path and get some fresh air.
